Lee Law Office focuses its practice in the following areas:
1. Civil Litigation:
We focus our litigation practice on insurance subrogation, retail and commercial collections, business litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.
2. Business Planning:
For small and medium sized business we provide legal counsel which includes incorporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, professional corporations, shareholder buy-sell agreements, and the sale and purchase of existing companies.
3. Personal Asset Protection/Estate Planning
Many of our clients need guidance and assistance on personal asset protection and estate planning through the execution of wills, revocable trusts, and irrevocable trusts.
This area of law changes at a rapid pace. We meet annually with our clients to review their goals and verify that their individualized plan and documents, coupled with the changing legal landscape, will accomplish their intentions.
4. Powers of Attorney:
General, specific, durable, and health care powers of attorney are prepared for our clients who desire the protection of having their directions met through the terms of a power of attorney.
Health care powers of attorney, also generally referred as “living wills,” are frequently needed within a short time. We pride ourselves in being able to tailor the power of attorney to the client’s specific needs and desires in an expedited timetable. In accomplishing this goal we frequently meet clients in the evenings, during the weekends, or in a residential or health care facility setting to secure the information and to compete the signing of the power of attorney.
Many clients request a power of attorney providing specific directions for health care services to be provided to their children in the event the parents are traveling and a family member or close friend is caring for the children while the parents are out of town.
5: Other Legal Areas:
Through our involvement with attorneys throughout Nebraska and Iowa and with our affiliation in various bar associations, if a client has a legal matter that we do not focus on in our practice we can provide several referrals to other attorneys who have a practice focus in those areas of the law.
We welcome the opportunity to be of service to you.
